You get more than 1 chilling story per episode! Great narrators. Brace yourself for the No Sleep podcast
The production is on point and the voice actors do a great job, if the right story comes along, this will gives you chills. I can't give 5 stars because the stories aren't always top notch but I recommend this to every one who enjoys scary stories and particularly around Halloween!
As with any anthology series featuring a multitude of authors and voice actors, the quality of both can be hit or miss but the hits are out of the park and the misses are never strikeouts. If you like horror, this will scratch your itch.
Great horror story audio plays every week. This podcast is wonderful, one of our favorites and a must listen for fans of the creepy
Superb horror anthology!
Like 'Law and Order' but more horrifying, the NoSleep Podcast is a fixture of the podcasting landscape. 17 seasons in, it continues to deliver a consistently creepy fix of original horror, no mean feat. By now, everyone involved has got their voice acting, sound design and writing down to a fine art. Brace yourself!
While I love the production quality, a lot of the stories are hit and miss.
One of, if not the best produced horror fiction podcast out there. The styles are all over the spectrum with horror. If one story isn’t your style just stick around for the next one
Hands down one of the best horror anthologies around.
One of the top horror shows out there
Best full cast, voice acting, atmospheric horror podcast EVER!!
Really great and atmospheric spooky storytelling. Excellent!
NoSleep is the quintessential horror podcast, originally drawing from the r/NoSleep Reddit forum and later shifting to stories created for the podcast. There must be more than 400 episodes and with usually multiple stories per episode that is a huge amount of people involved over the years. The podcast experiments with its format: the staple is a collection of stories ranging from 20 to 40 minutes, but you get flash fiction, special stories that span hours and several episodes, live performances, stories told on Zoom, a spin-off for kids (NoNap), and experimental stories under the umbrella of 'Sleepless Decompositions'. You find old school creepy pasta, techno horror, sci-fi, folk horror, ghost stories, and all sorts. All produced with an atmospheric score. One of the many things I especially like about NoSleep is they lift others up. They are diverse and they've given so many good podcast recommendations and encourage you to explore others' work.
LOVE this spooky podcast! Each episode is so well produced and the whole pod gives such an amazing range in sub-genres of the horror story genre. If you're looking for some amazing stories, you literally have *years* to go through.
The vast majority of the stories (writing, voice acting and production) are excellent. They strive for excellence and it shows.
The best horror podcast around!
Some hits, some misses but still so so good
Excellent writing and amazing voice acting
If I had rated this podcast within the first few years I would have given it 5 stars. So if you want the really good stuff go back and listen to the first few seasons. I can't rate it more than 2 stars now. The music and production quality is good. But the stories now are so boring. This is supposed to be a horror podcast. It's turned into a borer podcast. I find myself listening to an episode now and when the story is done I'm like "What was that story about? I don't remember a thing about it." It no longer keeps my attention. They've also gotten woke. The episodes are constantly talking about a guy and his husband/boyfriend or a girl and her wife and using pronouns when describing someone as they, them or their. It's not just that they mention it briefly and move on, it's like they have to keep mentioning it and making sure you know it. If they want to tell stories written by LGBT folk that's fine. Just stop making such a big deal about it and just tell horror stories, which is what they did in the first few seasons. And don't get me started on the ads. If I have to hear one more ad for better help or mint mobile I'll puke. I would never buy anything from their advertisers because the loooonnnnggggg ads suck. Thank God for fast forward on my podcast app. Most people will say I'm being to harsh. I don't care. I loved the podcast the first few seasons but it's been all down hill from there.
