The Far Meridian is my favorite podcast, and I know that in years to come I'll be coming back to revisit the lighthouse like an old friend. I came across it sometime last year when I first started getting into pods, and it's the first one I recommend the moment I get the chance. The storytelling, characters, pacing, atmosphere, and sound are all easy to love, managing a perfect blend of dreamlike ethereality and the roots of the everyday. To top it all off, every episode just felt *good* to listen to, and I can hardly wait to see where we go next.On a personal note and as a longterm recovering agoraphobic myself, Peri is incredibly relatable. I've never encountered such an accurate media representation of agoraphobia before, let alone one depicting how nonlinear the healing process can be—as it often goes with growth. I feel seen, which is so relieving in a world filled with so many misconceptions about agoraphobia and social anxiety. It's for this reason that The Far Meridian will always hold a special place in my heart no matter the distance of time.
