I really like this podcast. I think the stories are so interesting, and I think the guests who have shared them are all amazingly strong and resilient. However, I was a bit alarmed by S15 episodes 3&4. Don't get me wrong, I understand the betrayal of having someone you are close to lying to you and making you wonder who the fuck they are. That sucks and it is really devastating on some level. What was alarming was that these people are Mental Health professionals. Where was the empathy? They obviously don't practice Trauma Informed Care because if they did, they wouldn't have been so angry. They wouldn't have been telling on her to her boss and her parents like a 3rd grader. They would have seen that she was sick. It is pretty obvious she had some mental health problems and that she was an addict. They were super judgemental and had no empathy for her. If that is how you treat and view your "friend," someone you supposedly care about, how are you treating your clients?
