Gregory Warner is the host of NPR's Rough Translation. Previously, he was the East Africa correspondent for NPR. Before joining NPR, he was a freelance reporter who specialized in conflict zones around the world. His work has appeared on This American Life, Marketplace's "Working" series, and Radiolab.Warner has also worked as senior reporter for American Public Media's Marketplace. His musical journey into the world of medical coding won a Best News Feature award from the Third Coast International Audio Festival.Warner has won a Peabody Award and awards from Edward R. Murrow, New York Festivals, AP, and PRNDI. He earned his degree in English from Yale University.

Marianne McCune is a freelance journalist and an audio producer and editor. She has produced a dozen audio documentaries about San Francisco for the app Detour.Previously, McCune was a reporter and producer for the NPR show "Embedded: Buffalo Extreme." She was a senior producer for New York Magazine audio, and a Senior Producer for the NPR show "The United States of Anxiety."McCune founded Radio Rookies, WNYC's award-winning series of stories from New York teenagers.

Lauren Frayer is an international reporter who currently covers India for NPR News.Before moving to India, Frayer was a freelance reporter based in Madrid, and reporting from Seoul, London, Istanbul, Islamabad, Paris, and Jerusalem. She also served as a guest host of Weekend Edition Sunday. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and the BBC.Frayer's journalism career began in the Middle East, where she was an editor on the Associated Press' Middle East regional desk in Cairo. After that, she covered the Israel-Hezbollah war in Syria and southern Lebanon, and then spent a year embedded with U.S. troops in Iraq.Frayer was born and raised in a suburb of New York City. She received her B.A. in Philosophy from The College of William & Mary in Virginia.
