If you are casually interested in the modern economy and how it works on the ground, this podcast is a great way to keep taps on the comings and goings of companies large and small. The rotating panel breaks down market news, current events impacting stocks, and make amazing connections that you do not think about that make you realize how interconnected the modern economy is.I do not love all of the interviews (it depends on the dynamism of the industry leader) but at least once a month there is a gem and it is mostly people you would not otherwise hear from. All that plus the hosts do not take themselves too seriously. Money is important but talking about it should not be taboo and they tow the line between important and fun very nicely. This is the flagship Motley Fool podcast but there is a full suite of shows from the network. Those of you how want more of a personal finance bent will want to check out Motley Fool Answers. I cannot recommend the other shows available from the Fool since I have not done extensive listening but their brand of common sense investing is welcome in the time of loud mouths and hot takes. These hosts admit when they are wrong and are introspective about why it happened which is very helpful to a novice inverster.
