Voice Acting: AStoryline: A for S1 & A- for S2Production: ASound Quality: A-Special Effects: B+Cost is the theme for the Wolverine and the listener. For Wolverine, having escaped from the Sentinels, it's the guilt. When he was under the thrall of the Sentinels, he knows that he killed and destroyed for the Sentinels. He just can't remember exactly what he did. However, if his nightmares are any indications, the memories are coming back.In season 1, we find Logan hiding as far away as he can get (Alaska). However, girls have been killed recently by being clawed to death in tow. Is it a bear? Is it Logan? Federal Investigators have been sent to find out. I really enjoyed season 1. Though the podcast is about Wolverine, you hear very little from Wolverine. It's like the Dr. Who episode "Blink". Its one of the best episodes of Dr. Who even though Dr. Who only plays a small part in the story. Wolverine is the reason why everyone, including the listener, is there but the podcast spends most of its time with the denizens of the town, the Federal agents and the mystery itself. For me, it was a welcome change from the more Wolverine centric stories. But don't worry, season 2 builds on what we learned in season 1 but Wolverine is front and center. We also get to hear from some other mutants that are familiar to anyone that follows the X-men through the movies, animated series or comics. For the listener, there are two costs. To really appreciate the podcast, one has to be familiar with the X-men canon, at least through the story of the Sentinels, to fully appreciate it. The second cost is you have to pay at least 1 month of subscription fee of $4.99 (unless you haven't used up the free trial. I used mine for EOS10). Is it worth it? For two seasons which its ~7 hours of listening pleasure, to me it was worth it.
