He is an economics columnist for The Nation and a contributing editor at Dissent.Konczal's work has appeared in the Washington Post, Vox, The American Prospect, and Boston Review. He has contributed commentary on the U.S. economy on CNN, MSNBC, All Things Considered, Planet Money, and Lovett or Leave ItKonczal's first book, co-authored Joseph Stiglitz, was "Rewriting the Rules of the American Economy," published in 2015. His second book, "Freedom from the Market: America’s Fight to Liberate Itself from the Grip of the Invisible Hand," was published in 2021.Konczal was raised in Chicago. He received his B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science and his M.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
