Nick has been the co-host and producer of Civics 101 since 2018. He also contributes to the other podcasts from NHPR; Outside/In, Word of Mouth, and Civics 101: NH. He is also working in his basement on a dozen secret projects that may never see the light of day.

Hannah started at NHPR as an intern. She studied philosophy and theater at Bennington College, leveraged that into a number of high-powered careers---cold-pressing juices, working for arts non-profits, selling pottery to Carly Simon (true story, she smells amazing)---then got her MA in Journalism at NYU. She’s been producing stories for your ears ever since.

Dr. Louise Sheiner is an economist whose work focuses on federal, state, and local fiscal policy, productivity measurement, demographic change, health policy, and other fiscal and macroeconomic issues. Currently, she is a Fellow in Economic Studies at the Brookings Institution and policy director for the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy.Previously, Sheiner was a senior economist in the Fiscal Analysis Section for the Research and Statistics Division with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Before joining the Fed, she was an economist at the Joint Committee on Taxation.Sheiner received her B.S. in Biology and her Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.

Leah Plunkett is a legal scholar and teacher whose work focuses on digital privacy law and digital life for kids, teens, andfamilies. Currently, she is an Assistant Dean at Harvard Law School and an associate with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.Plunkett is best-known for her first book, "Sharenthood: Why We Should Think before We Talk about Our Kids Online," which was published in 2019.Previously, Plunkett was an Associate Dean and Associate Professor at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. Before she became a teacher, she was a legal aid lawyer with New Hampshire Legal Assistance. She founded the Youth Law Project, which represents kids and teens in special education and school discipline cases.Plunkett received her B.A. in History and Literature from Harvard University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Dr. Premilla Nadasen is a historian and activist, whose work focuses on the histories of women of colour in the welfare rights movement. Currently, she is associate professor of History at Barnard College.Previously, Nadasen was a Chair in Women’s Studies at Brooklyn College. Before that, she was a visiting Professor at the University of Oxford. She was also President of the National Women's Studies Association, and has worked at the National Domestic Workers Union of America and the National Welfare Rights Organization.Nadasen's first book, "Welfare Warriors: The Welfare Rights Movement in the United States," was published in 2005. Her second book, "Household Workers Unite: The Untold Story of African American Women Who Built a Movement," was published in 2016.Nadasen received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her Ph.D. in American History from Columbia University.
