You might want to skip the popcorn for this one because it’s time to stay quiet in a packed theatre for A Quiet Place: Day One. This prequel delves into the harrowing first day of the alien invasion in New York City, capturing the initial chaos and terror brought by the sound-sensitive creatures. Amid the turmoil, Lupita Nyong'o's character, Sam, embarks on a respectable quest for some decent pizza before she carks it. She's joined by a sad boy Joseph Quinn, and the breakout star of the movie, Frodo the Cat. While we're fans of the franchise, this entry didn't work as well as the previous two for us. We'll discuss why in our review. Then we'll talk about the movies we most want to experience in a theatre with great sound for the ultimate immersive cinematic experience.
