Strange show, and not in an appealing way. QCode's attempt at an anthology fails to leave the impact that it desires. The biggest qualm I have is the unnecessary, awkward and odd framing mechanism of the character Mr. Boogey. He introduces and signs off every episode but adds nothing to them. It seems like an attempt to create a quirky tone but I simply found it silly. The stories are unremarkable and not particularly well told. Unlike, say, The Truth (another anthology series, and a great one at that), episodes are not memorable even immediately after listening. With one-off stories it's vital that they strike a chord in the time they have yet I never came away feeling like I'd been drawn into the world desribed, never felt attached to the characters.I'm not sure if the handful of episodes were a one off experiment or the first of potentially more seasons but I won't be checking out any further releases.
