Astronauten berichten bei ihren Weltraumfahrten oft von Gefühlen der Erhabenheit. Lassen sich Gefühle von „Awe and Wonder" simulieren? Der international anerkannte Phänomenologe Shaun Gallagher versucht genau das: Er erzeugt diese Gefühle in Zusammenarbeit mit der NASA experimentell im Labor und versucht das Phänomen auch theoretisch zu fassen. Der Philosoph war im Juni im Rahmen des Themenjahres „Luft- und Weltraumfahrt" zu Gast bei Morphomata, dem internationalen Forschungskolleg in Köln.
