There's some impressive talent behind this show and that earns them some goodwill. This show is such a staggering conceptual misfire, I can hardly believe it. As a rule I only review things I like but this deserves an exception. It is all Tell and no Show. The actors deserve credit for their work but the writing stinks of serving a narrative that doesn't yet exist. All information about the story is relayed through manic, unreliable, and uninteresting retrospectives about events which would honestly be compelling if we could experience them as scenes. I've been trying so hard to stick with it because I respect the creators a lot. I get they're trying to lay groundwork for a multi-platform narrative to unfold over years but I think they forgot how important it is that the inaugural entry justify its own existence BEFORE continuation, not after.
