Andrea Valdez is a journalist and editor. Currently, she is Senior Vice President of Audience Strategy at The Atlantic.Valdez was the editor-in-chief of The 19th, and before that, of the Texas Observer. She was editor of WIRED.com and of Texas Monthly’s website. She wrote the book “How to Be A Texan: The Manual.”Valdez received her B.A. in English from The University of Texas at Austin, and her M.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University.
