Adam Mossoff is a legal scholar who specializes in including property, patent law, trade secrets, trademark law, remedies, and internet law. His research primarily focuses on the theoretical justification for and historical protection of patents and other intellectual property rights. Currently, he is a Professor of Law at George Mason University.Previously, Mossoff taught law at Michigan State University College of Law, the University of San Diego School of Law, and Washington & Lee University School of Law.Mossoff has testified about patent law before the Senate and the House of Representatives. His work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, The Hill, Politico, and in other media outlets. Mossoff received his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Michigan, his M.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University, and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He clerked for the Honorable Jacques L. Wiener, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
