The Anxiety Coaches

A friend asked me if I had learned anything about people that surprised me in my time conducting all of these interviews. I thought for a minute, rifling through all the things I had learned about individuals I would probably never meet, then realized there was this one big thing I had seen over and over again. People want to help each other. I have seen over and over podcasters who recognized their pain or their story belonged to someone else and maybe they could help that other person.

That kind of care does surprise me in a world that seems so full of hate and anger, but I find it nonetheless. And I know that every podcaster doesn’t start a show to change the world, but the people at The Anxiety Coaches figured they could at least help someone.

It’s a podcast that comes out twice a week and it’s about twenty minutes long on average. And it’s for people who are struggling with any kind of anxiety, any kind of high stress, PTSD, anything where you are moving to get grounded again and to remove the sensations and the symptoms that come with any kind of high stress and anxiety.

The podcast has had several hosts, with Gina Ryan currently running the show. Gina is a nutritionist that works with people with eating disorders in Hawaii. After struggling with her own anxiety and fears for years, Gina managed to find her way to a healthy and happy lifestyle. So it only makes sense that she would pass on what she’s learned to others who are still struggling.

We talk about the lifestyle changes you can make. This isn’t a medical show. It’s totally about what you can do at home to feel better.

Gina knows that a podcast talking about something as massive, diverse, and widespread as anxiety and stress has a lot to cover in twenty minutes, but keeping things digestible is key.

This is an area where a lot of help is needed and there’s endless things to talk about. So I think that’s the hardest part for me is to condense it down to kind of nice bite-sized pieces for people to listen to in that amount of time.

The struggle of keeping things short and to-the-point is massively outweighed by the fact that Gina has found a way to help people who need it.

My favorite part is realizing how many people I can reach. That has been awesome to me. I never had any idea – I’ve been counseling people in nutrition and wellness for twenty-five years and never thinking I would be able to reach the number of people that I can with a podcast! The podcast is an amazing and unique platform to reach people that are interested in what you’re talking about.

Gina is excited to grow the show, but she is also looking forward to finding more and more ways to help the people who are listening by making resources and programs available for those looking for something beyond the show. So, if you struggle with anxiety or stress, The Anxiety Coaches is the show for you.
